Therefore, this article has been specially prepared for them, which will allow to learn about all the possibilities and advantages of parachuting.
The first jump is a great stress and health risk for beginners. In this regard, great attention is paid to the health of the “newcomer”, so if you have any chronic heart disease, pulmonary system, diabetes, mental disorders or serious injuries of the musculoskeletal system, the road to parachuting will be closed for you . Therefore, in order to know whether you can engage in jumping, you must undergo a full medical examination by a doctor for the absence of contraindications.
Learning to jump
The next stage is learning. Without good and long training, skydiving can be a serious threat to your health. Skydiving is taught in one of two standard programs: the classical program and the AFF accelerated training program. Choosing the first option, you master the parachute jumps with a round dome, gradually moving to other types of parachutes. The second option will give you the opportunity to jump higher than 3000 meters with a special student parachute system. This allows you to work out one exercise several times in the air. In addition to this, there is always an instructor with you who tells and controls your jump.
Upon completion of training, you can make jumps that will give the right to receive an international document, a certificate confirming your level of preparedness.
Now go directly to the jumps. The beginner is not recommended to immediately start jumping on your own: it is better to make a test jump with the instructor. This option is the safest way to check the readiness of a novice parachutist to jump independently. Usually the jump lasts 60 seconds and is made from a height of 3000 – 4000 meters. No action is required from a beginner – just look at the enchanting beauty of the earth from a height and enjoy the flight.
If the novice has successfully passed all the tests and has mastered the full course of study, then he can safely practice in the air on his own.
Beginner skydiver should know:
– During a jump from a height of 1000 meters, a forced opening of the main parachute is applied.
– If after five seconds the parachute did not open or you forgot to pull out the ring, the reserve parachute automatically works.
– It is recommended to land as follows: try to turn against the wind, begin to decline using the leading edge of the dome, land on both legs.
– Parachute jumping alone is not allowed if the person has a weight of less than 45 or more than 95 kg.
– Age restrictions for self-jump: under 16 years of age are not allowed.
