Skydiving and safety
As in any sport, safety when skydiving depends on following the rules and their precise implementation. Their strict implementation helps to avoid accidents that can lead to serious injuries and even death. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with some of the rules for safe skydiving.
Complete a physical examination
Before you make your first jump, be sure to go through a physical examination. There are a number of contraindications that should be considered. Parachute jumping is contraindicated for people with serious chronic diseases such as diabetes, epilepsy, bone injuries, diseases of the cardiovascular system and the musculoskeletal system. Do not jump with a parachute if you have a cold because it may cause damage to the nasal sinuses and eardrums.
You should not drink alcohol before jumping, as well as potent drugs because At altitude, atmospheric pressure is much lower than on earth, and the effects of alcohol and drugs increase.
It is not recommended to go diving after jumping – it can be very dangerous to health. When immersed bubbles of nitrogen in the blood are collected in places of the folds of blood vessels, which can lead to their ruptures.
Take a rest before jumping
Be sure to sleep well and do not overload.
Attend special courses that teach beginner skydivers how to behave in emergency situations. Having obtained the necessary theoretical knowledge, you can begin to practice it in practice and bring it to automaticity.
When planting, avoid power lines at all costs. Try to get past the wires by turning the parachute downwind.
Planting trees can also pose a threat to human health, so if you see that you are heading towards them, you should do the following: stand upwind to reduce the horizontal speed, pull the control lines halfway, and put your legs and feet together.
And finally, to jump with a parachute, you must have a good level of self-discipline. Gather strength and keep your psychological state in balance. And if you have any doubts or fears – postpone the jump until the best time you are ready for it.
